Tour of Jewish Częstochowa

Prior to attending the opening of the new Jewish Museum of Częstochowa, Reunion participants were taken on a bus tour of Jewish Częstochowa which included visiting the site, near the entrance of what was the “Small Ghetto”, where mass executions had taken place.

The Jewish Cemetery Today

The Częstochowa Jewish Cemetery dates back to the late 18th Century. It is the third largest Jewish cemetery in Poland, containing around 4,500 graves in about 8.5 hectares. The last burial here took place in 1973.
