First Evening

We were treated to a street theatre performance of “Remembrance” and viewed exhibitions of “The Unpainted Jew” by Pawel Szapiro and “Where the Past Meets the Future” by Fay Grajower. The evening concluded when we were guests of the local TSKZ.

The Jewish Cemetery Today

The Częstochowa Jewish Cemetery dates back to the late 18th Century. It is the third largest Jewish cemetery in Poland, containing around 4,500 graves in about 8.5 hectares. The last burial here took place in 1973.
