It is with immense pleasure we advise that the daughter of the late Professor Jerzy Mizgalski, Dr Magdalena Mizgalska-Osowiecka, has taken the place, left vacant with the passing of her father, on the World Society’s Academic Consultative Panel.

Magdalena is a cultural heritage and Jewish history professional at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw. She holds a PhD in History from the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her early research was on Jewish participation in local government in interwar Częstochowa.

A recipient of numerous tertiary scholarships, she specialises in Jewish history, cultural heritage and historical research. With over a decade of experience at the POLIN Museum, she has contributed to the preservation and dissemination of Jewish heritage through research, digital heritage initiatives and international collaboration.

Welcome to our family, Magda! Your late father would be so proud!
